Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, Internet traffic has grown exponentially, increasing congestion and making operation of the backbone network difficult. Traffic Engineering is needed for balancing the traffic load on the network, and it also helps in defining a policy for network operation. Traditional Traffic Engineering architecture of MPLS Network adopts distributed architecture. In distributed architecture, Processor load is influenced exponentially scale of MPLS network. Therefore, distributed architecture of Traffic Engineering is unsuitable In Large Scale MPLS Network. We have developed a server that implements Traffic Engineering and Reliability Engineering, named TRES+ (Traffic and Reliability Engineering Server for MPLS). TRES+ collects Traffic information that network nodes probe, calculates Label Switched Path (LSP), and setup LSP to control network nodes. In this paper, we discuss and clarify the TRES+ architecture and its system design.
