| 抄録(和) | パケットベースのネットワークにおいて種々のサービスのエミュレーションを行うPWE3(Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge to Edge)と呼ばれる技術がIETFで議論されている。一方、低コストなEthernet技術の発展により、TDM回線サービスをEthernet上でエミュレーションすることができれば、コストを低減できると考えられている。本稿ではPWE3をEthernet上に適用し、TDM回線サービスを提供する際の方法並びに帯域の利用効率について論じる。 |
| 抄録(英) | PWE3 (Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge to Edge) is one of the working groups in IETF, which has standardized the edge-to-edge emulation in packet switched networks. Owing to the development of cheap Ethernet technology, it is assumed that we can reduce the cost by emulating TDM circuit services on Ethernet. In this paper, we discuss the methods to provide TDM services and the bandwidth efficiency when we apply PWE3 on Ethernet. |
