Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) PWE3 (Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge to Edge) is one of the working groups in IETF, which has standardized the edge-to-edge emulation in packet switched networks. Owing to the development of cheap Ethernet technology, it is assumed that we can reduce the cost by emulating TDM circuit services on Ethernet. In this paper, we discuss the methods to provide TDM services and the bandwidth efficiency when we apply PWE3 on Ethernet.
