Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a streaming format designed for broadcast streaming service over cellular networks. This format provides compatibility with the packet streaming specification of IMT-2000 and enables 1) flexible layout rendering by SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) in combination with SDP (Session Description Protocol), 2) reliable and synchronized static media (including static image and text) delivery by RTF (Real-time Transport Protocol) carousel, and 3) scalable media delivery on radio links by DSCP (Diffserv Code Point) marking. We also introduce a prototype of this broadcast streaming system.
