Abstract(in English) This paper introduces bidirectional processing of Two dimensional shapes using Wavelet Extrema.First,we show that the evolution of wavelet local extremum across scales sufficiently characterizes variety of patterns including shapes.Next,shape description and matching methods using wavelet extrema are presented.Finally,we propose the framework of bi-directional processing of shapes:model acquiring and shape editing.Several experiments with relatively complex shapes showed the ability of the proposed method.
