Flowchart Tutoring System with Error Diagnostic Capabilities for Structured Programming

Abstract(in English) In order to make a good program,well structured description is required for its algorithm.Therefore,the stage where students make their own flowcharts are quite important in the programming exercise process.In this paper,a system both to support the flowchart description by each student and to diagnose its validity is proposed.First,a cooperative distributed method to support the flowchart description,using the hierarchical structure of the structured programming,is shown.Then a hierarchical diagnosis method consisting of a syntax,a logical structure and a semantic validity diagnosis is explained.Especially,new algorithms using the program slicing techniques are proposed for the semantic validity diagnosis.
