Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Auditory evoked magnetic fields(AEFs)at latencies between 10 msec and 70 msec were measured. The source of the AEF at a latency of 10 msec was considered to be in a deep part of the brain, while later components of AEFs were estimated to be in the auditory cortex. The source of Pa was estimated to be in the primary auditory cortex. On the other hand, the source of Pb was estimated in the secondary auditory cortex. The source of NI00 was considered to spread from the primary auditory cortex to the secondary auditory cortex. The effects of stimulation side on the amplitudes and latencies of Pa and Pb were also investigated. No significant difference was observed in the latencies of both Pa and Pb,while the contralateral Pa was significantly larger than the ipsilateral Pa.
