Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently various methods on deterministic nonlinear prediction have been proposed. They deal with time series data with chaotic dynamics and are applicable to prediction of demands of electricity or water service. This prediction method is based on the assumption that nonlinear dynamical systems with small degree of freedom exist behind complex phenomena. We can predict phenomena by extracting this nonlinear dynamics. In this paper,we briefly introduce the deterministic nonlinear prediction.Next we discuss its application to the communication traffic. Finally we analyze the results.
