Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) XTP(Xpress Transfer Protocol)is one of standard candidates of a high-speed communication protocol. This protocol corresponds from three layers of OSI reference model to four layers. The achievement of real time is an important problem as for forwarding a continuous media(video, voice etc.)over LAN.In this paper, the effectiveness of XTP in the video forwarding was evaluated.First, the characteristic was measured in the experiment system forwarded video between workstations, and the results showed a performance excellent compared with TCP.Next, the subjectivity evaluation of the influence of the network load and the delay was executed to the video quality. Finally,a improvement idea to secure the video quality at a constant level was examined by expantion of XTP.
