Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper,we have designed and fabricated a novel ternary full adder circuit using DC-SQUIDs of Nb, AlO_x/Nb junctions. The circuit is composed of two parts, namely sum and carry, each of which is composed of two SQUIDs.The two SQUIDs are connected in series, where one of SQUIDs switches to the positive voltage state, while the other one to the negative voltage state. In order to eliminate the decrease of critical current by the trap of magnetic flux,we have used an Nb tube.We have measured the current-voltage characteristics of junctions, the threshold characteristics of the SQUIDS,and the fundamental logic operations.
