Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With use of an Inductive Logic Programming system Progol, we have been implementing a machine learning system to acquire grammatical rules from amounts of tag-free examples out of text corpora, e.g., British National Corpus(BNC). This paper describes overview of our grammar acquisition system, software tools we have already written, and problems we must cope with to implement the system. We also present a new method to improve the efficiency of acquiring knowledge, paying attention to a fact that any grammatical rules are described in differential list form in Prolog.
