Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In this paper we propose a new information retrieval method NB-Rank with use of a notion-network to model concepts in human mind, so that information retrieval systems can use a query which conveys what users want to get in mind, which is usually indescribable. The notion-network is an undirected graph of words. Each link of the network has two relation values from one node to another and vice versa. We also implemented an information retrieval system Infollect based to evaluate and confirm fundamental validity of the method. |
