Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We can observed various things though that gather huge amount of characters and observe it. Shape of character is related to the structure of a human brain. Existing character is chosen by the brain. Now performance of character recognition depends on the position and the size related preprocessing. We pay attention to feature extraction method to overcome the variation. New segmentation technique needs to increase the flexibility of OCR.
