Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We consider a multi-layer mesh network, where each node has multiple wireless tranceivers set to different channels to each other, Each node communicates with the base station for the purpose of the Internet access, An ad hoc network routing protocol is used to send packets from each node to the base station and vice versa. We consider several packet forwarding methods in this network and evaluate the performance based on computer simulation. Specifically, each level support the routing protocol independently and data packet may be forwarded to a different layer according to the load state of each layer at each node. We have shown that multi-layer approach is promissing to make ad hoc and multi-hop wireless access networks.
