| 抄録(和) | IPでの移動性を実現するモバイルIPに関してハンドオフ時の切断時間とそれに伴うパケットロスに関する様々な検討が行われているが,ストリーミングアプリケーション利用時にハンドオフ時の経路変更が引き起こす遅延変動により生じる移動端末の再生品質劣化についてはほとんど検討されていない.そこで本研究ではこの問題を解決する新しいハンドオフ手法を提案する.本提案方式では,ハンドオフごとに複数の経路を設定,保持し,ストリーミングの再生に適した遅延変動の少ない経路を移動端末がハンドオフ時に受信経路として選択することによりハンドオフ時のストリーミング再生品質劣化を減少することが可能となる.これにより再生ストリーミングの初期バッファ量を減少させることができ,再生遅延やバッファ量の減少が可能となる.計算機シミュレーションにより提案方式の有効性を示した. |
| 抄録(英) | The Mobile IP protocol lets mobile terminals migrate without changing their IP addresses but its handoff is known to have "handoff latency" and "packet loss" problems. This paper describes another problem, "delay fluctuation" for streaming communication. This "delay fluctuation" problem has not been argued enough. This paper shows our proposal scheme to solve "delay fluctuation" problem. In our scheme, the MN keeps multiple routes which are created in each handoff. And the MN chooses the route whose delay fluctuation is small to receive the streaming data. This route changing enables to reduce queueing delay and the amount of the MN's buffer. The efficiency of our handoff scheme is evaluated by the simulation. |
