Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Mobile IP protocol lets mobile terminals migrate without changing their IP addresses but its handoff is known to have "handoff latency" and "packet loss" problems. This paper describes another problem, "delay fluctuation" for streaming communication. This "delay fluctuation" problem has not been argued enough. This paper shows our proposal scheme to solve "delay fluctuation" problem. In our scheme, the MN keeps multiple routes which are created in each handoff. And the MN chooses the route whose delay fluctuation is small to receive the streaming data. This route changing enables to reduce queueing delay and the amount of the MN's buffer. The efficiency of our handoff scheme is evaluated by the simulation.
