Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, many people at schools are concerned about children with learning disability(LD) or developmental disorder and they are studying how to help the children learn. We developed "A Syllable Extraction Learning System(SELS)" before. The system supports the children to learn discernment of Japanese word syllables and recognition of the common syllable between different words. However the system can support only children who have not mastered characters yet, so we think it is necessary to extend the system so that it can support learning of reading and writing. In this paper, we describe an extension to assist the children to understand syllables, characters, words, clauses and texts, etc. so that they can learn by themselves using DAISY books later.
