Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since the international standard digital talking book DAISY contains not only sounds but also texts and pictures, it is a universal digital book for not only hearing-impaired people but also people from children to the elderly. However, DAISY books are less popular than traditional talking books. One of the reasons of this is that it is complicated and difficult to synchronize voice data with corresponding texts. We developed a tool for automatic synchronization of voice data and corresponding texts using a real-time large vocabulary speech recognition system "Julius."
