Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important for animals to judge whether they can achieve their behavior in 3D-space. We hypothesized that the judgement is based on the restriction of their action and body features. In this research we investigated visual size judgement for action to test the hypothesis. In the experiment, two vertical lines were presented with variable separation as stimuli, and subjects judged whether they could pass their hand through the aperture. The results showed that the judgements were dependent on which hand, right or left, they imagined. This suggested that the restriction of real action affected the size judgements related to the behavior.
