Abstract(in English) | It is well known that the task-irrelevant emotional words delay color judgment of the word. The cause of such phenomenon, called "emotional stroop", is often attributed to the attentional bias to the emotional stimuli, however direct evidence to the attentional account is still limited. The present study aimed to reveal the effect of control of visual attention on the emotional stroop phenomenon. The preliminary results showed that the emotional words affected only attention-demanding task and suggested that close relationship between visual attention and the emotional stroop phenomenon. |
