| 抄録(和) | 本研究では頭部方向から視線方向を推定するための基礎的研究として, 呈示されたターゲットの注視における頭部の運動の関与の程度を測定する実験を行った.実験で被験者は上下左右7度から40度の範囲に呈示されるターゲットに向かって眼球及び頭部を運動させて注視することが求められ, これと同時にターゲットの認識, または指差しを行った.ターゲットの呈示においては3秒間呈示される条件と1秒間呈示される条件が用意された.これらのトライアル中の頭部方向, 眼球方向が記録された.実験の結果, ターゲット注視の際の頭部運動量は個人差が大きいが個人内では比較的安定していた.また, 左右呈示においては, 注視するだけの条件より指差し条件において頭部運動量が増加し, 個人内の安定度も増すことが示された.上方呈示においては個人内安定度が注視のみでも高かったことを除けばほぼ左右と同様の傾向を示した.下方呈示においては呈示角度の大きいときに逆に頭部を移動させなくなる被験者が複数存在した.これらの結果は頭部運動からの注視方向の推定において, タスクとの関係が重要であることと, 方向による違いを考慮する必要があることを示唆している. |
| 抄録(英) | In the present study, we performed experiments to investigate the contribution of head movement for gazing target. In the experiment, subjects were required to gaze a single-word target displayed 7 to 40 degrees vertically or horizontally from the center by naturally moving their eye and head. Each trial was associated with either of two tasks: target recognition or pointing movement. Each target was displayed for 1 second or 3 seconds. Subject's head movements and eye movements were recorded during experiments. When targets were horizontally displayed, shares of head movements were largely varied between subjects, but relatively less varied within each subject. It was also found that pointing movements increased the shares of the head movement, and reduced the variance in the shares within each subject. Similar results were obtained when the targets were displayed upward. While targets were displayed downward, several subjects did not move their head for a large target eccentricity. These results suggest that contribution of the head movement for gazing target varies by attentional demands required by the tasks and by the direction of the targets. |
