Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Human communication is performed not only by conversing verbal information but also by exchanging nonverbal information such as direction of head and gaze, facial expression, gesture, a paralanguage, etc. This research focuses on the interaction between human and human-like agent. First, we present hypotheses on the impression of combination of nonverbal information and effect of interaction. Then, subjective evaluation tests were conducted. We show that the combination of gaze and facial expressions enhances the impression to others and that interaction by the users enhances the impression. The results suggest that nonverbal behaviors of agents have a potential for controlling the impression giving on human.
