Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Facial image processing is conducted in engineering field for decades and, principal component analysis is one of the frequently used methods. However, there is no standard software tool available to date. Therefore, we developed a facial image processing platform; FaceComposer for supporting facial researches based on principal component analysis. We use a 3D face wireframe model for extracting both facial shape and texture first. Eigenfaces (with both eigenshapes and eigentextures) are calculated and used for analyzing and synthesizing of facial images.
