Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this research is to contribute to the design of more useful spatial navigation systems. Previous studies have demonstrated that misalignment effect, which may result in human navigation errors, intensifies when pedestrians navigate using misaligned maps. However, fundamental solution to this problem has not been realized fully in actual navigation systems. In the present research we pursue the ways to suppress misalignment effect by the use of effective landmarks with psychophysics experiments, and thereby we suggest some characteristics that more useful spatial navigation systems must have. |
