Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A driver gets more than 90% of the information by the vision when a driver controls vehicles. Therefore, it means that, it is connected with the accident that a driver mistake the judgment based on the vision. This study examined the relationship between the change of the visual angle of the leading vehicle's overall width and the timing of the braking. As an experimental result, a driver start the braking when it become the value that the increase rate of the visual angle of the leading vehicle's overall width per unit time is constant value.
