Reproduction of Visual and Olfactory Information Using Odor Sensor

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present the methods to record and reproduce odors together with movies using odor recorder. We propose the method of recording odors using QCM sensor array with its ouput pattern recognized by a LVQ (Learning Vector Quantization) neural network. The visual and olfactory informations of several deodorizers were recorded using this system. Then, the usefulness of this system was evaluated by presenting the reproduced information to many subjects.
