Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this study is to investigate whether 3 types of disfluencies (fillers, self-repairs, and additional information) have a different quality or not. The subjects were divided into 2 groups (instructed group, non-instructed group), either instructed to produce actively gestures during explaining an animation or not. Each subject was required to speak under both in the DAF (delayed auditory feedback) condition, which impedes their speech performance, and in the NAF (normal auditory feedback) condition, which does not impede, and then both type and frequency of disfluencies in their speech were analyzed. The result shows that the frequency of disfluencies (per 100 words) in the instructed group is higher than in the non-instructed, especially, on one hand, that the frequencies of fillers in the DAF condition is higher than in the NAF, on the other hand, that the frequencies of additional information in the DAF condition is lower than in the NAF. It suggests that 3 types of disfluencies have a,different quality. |
