Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Automatic changing of line of sight based on audiovisual information under the real environment is the important function of future intelligent robot to make the interaction between robot and human smoother. Integrated processing of both visual and audio information enables a robot to grasp the changes in surrounded scenes more properly compared with the case where visual and audio information is processed separately. This paper first discusses the 3-D sound source localization method based on the integration of visual and audio information. A particle filter is introduced to improve the accuracy in sound source localization even for the case where sound source or robot is moving around. Furthermore a robot acts according to the movement of sound source. Several experimental results show the usefulness of the proposed methods.
