Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Driving behavioral signals are expected to be used to improve the safety and convenience while driving. For example, the use of driver's characteristics of the way of controlling vehicle speed, keeping headway distance, and hitting the accelerator pedal will allow us to achieve driver recognition for automatic adaptation of vehicle environments. Drowsy driving detection might also be realized by comparing the driving behavior with that of normal driving. In this work, long-term characteristics of the driver's behavior in the relation between the vehicle speed, the headway distance and the accelerator pedal position, and short-term spectral characteristics of the accelerator pedal position are modeled with Gaussian mixture models. We conduct a driver identification experiment and an 89.6% identification rate is obtained. |
