| Abstract(in English) | We have developed a visual simulator for understanding computer structure and behavior. It has been designed to be downloaded from Web server, run on major browsers and illustrate how computer works. It is written in Java programming language and provides some facilities not only as Java applet but also Java stand-alone application. 0ur visual simulator can obtain several sample files of assembly programming, execute them in the step-by-step manner as Well as in the automatic (i.e. continuous) manner and demonstrate how those programs are processed by hardware of computer graphically. In order to improve our simulator's functionality, some modules have been newly added, which are designed to perform, for example, on-line message service, guideline one and built-in mail handler. In this report, we will mainly explain new facilities of our simulator such as built-in mail handler, its improved user interface and communication support between teacher and students for the sake of distance education trial as its application. |
