Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Gaze plays important roles in our social life, thus we need to perceive precisely where a person is looking. But there are two errors in gaze perception. One is that we overestimate the deviation of his gaze, and the other is that when his head is rotated, we perceive his gaze shifted in the direction opposite to his head turn. The results of our experiments with faces generated by computer graphics, demonstrate that these errors are induced by the only reason, eyelids shift pupil's relative position to width of the eye.
