Voxelization with Similarity Calculation of Uniformly Point-Sampled Representation for Polyhedral Models

Abstract(in English) We propose a voxelization method of a polyhedral model using uniformly point-sampled representation in 3D shape model retrieval. Because the original vertices are generally biased, it is difficult to voxelize a polyhedral model. In order to solve the problem, we use point-sampled representation for the polyhedral model, and voxelize the model. Thus, it is not dependent on original vertices density. Finally, we compare the voxel data which are defined by using the original vertices and uniformly point-sampled representation for the polyhedral model.
