Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have conducted studies on a quantitative method for measurement of psychological effect given by an immersive surrounding display systems. The proposed method uses the movement of observer's body-sway induced by the visual stimulus as an index. To analyze quantitative relation between observer's body-sway and the visual stimulus, an ARMAX model was fitted to the data. The results showed that an ARMAX model successfully extracted features of visually induced body-sway. One of the most interesting results was that observer's body-sway preceded the motion of the visual stimulus. The results suggested that the observer predicted the motion of the visual stimulus. We explored relations among the phase of a observer's body-sway and other features of that.
