Abstract(in English) | Bobsleighing is an exciting winter sport that is even a part of the Olympic games. This paper introduces an immersive and real-feel to the touch bobsleigh simulator. Virtual bobsleigh riding is realized by simulating a real course in Nagano, Japan. A surround screen is constructed of four large-screens. The motion base system is controlled by six electric-motorized axes. High-speed gliding motion along a cylindrical course is generated by combining two methods, dynamic physical simulation and spatial constraint condition. The motion base system is also controlled according to the result of gliding motion. This simulator is expected to be used for training in the off-season. |
