Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Many ECSs (Environmental Control Systems) have been developed for users with special needs like ALS patients. The television control support system is the most popular application in ECSs. This paper proposes a new television control support system using eye-gaze input. The system is controlled by a Learning-Remote controller that links to personal computer. Therefore, the system has a feature of hardware independent. This system has TV control functions such as "channel selection", "volume control" and "mode change". These functions are assigned to five indicators. The layout of indicators are designed with classification rates of eye-gaze detection in mind. |
