Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, indoor navigation software for PDA is introduced, developed to support persons with higher brain dysfunction, that is, people with cognitive disorder, memory disorder, attention-deficit disorder, and so forth. It can provide directions to prevent users from missing their ways indoors. The name of the room that the user should head for is displayed along with some photos and memos on the PDA. The user can reach the objective point by checking and following the names of the rooms displayed sequentially. The usage of the software is very simple and the display itself is designed to be easily comprehensible. Through some evaluation experiments, this software was evaluated as available for people with higher brain dysfunction especially when walking around unfamiliar places.
