Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We introduce a method to produce photon pairs using polarization-dependent two-photon absorption. First, we explain the principle of the photon pair production qualitatively in the view of quantum state projection that is induced by the polarization-selective absorption. Next, we show the way to analyze the quantum state of the light field interacting with two-photon absorbers with quantum jump approach. This approach not only allows easy calculation, but also gives deep insight into the physical meanings.
