Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A practical quantum cryptosystem which security is guaranteed by quantum physics is strongly required. A high-speed and small size single photon detector for a quantum key distribution (QKD), which is one of the kernel technologies of quantum cryptosystem, is developed. As the quantum cryptosystem is a part of backbone communication equipment, the reliability and packaging into a small form factor cabinet is indispensable. The long time operation stability and enough low QBER of the developed single photon detector is confirmed through evaluations.
