Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Short pulse generation based on an optical frequency comb generation is described. A LiNbO_3 phase and intensity integrated modulator featuring a low half-wave voltage of 1.3 V at 10 GHz for the phase modulation is demonstrated for generating a flat optical frequency comb broader than 7 nm. The optical frequency comb is successfully applied to a stable and compact 1.7-ps pulse source at a repetition rate of 10GHz.
