Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Photovoltaic properties of vacuum-deposited films of bisazomethine dye (DE2) forming J-aggregates were examined with sandwich-type samples (ITO/DE2/Al). We measured dark I-V characteristics and photocurrent action spectra. We confirmed the formation of the Schottky barrier by dark I-V characteristics. We also observed the photocurrent without applied electric field. These results show that photocarriers can be generated due to absorption of DE2 thin films and the sample works as a Shottoky-type solar cell.
