Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have developed the extremely slow separating system by using the cantilever of which length is 1m in order to investigate the contact bridge phenomena, and have found that the bridge was non-luminous when the contact separates at the extremely slow separating speed of 0.05μm/s. It has been assumed that the non-luminous bridge might be formed due to the thermal equilibrium condition achieved. At the separating speed less than 2μm/s for Pd contacts, it was estimated that the thermal equilibrium condition could be maintained around bridge, and non-luminous bridge could appear. The paper shows that, depending on the separating speed, non-luminous bridge changes to luminous one.
