Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An electric sliding contact system is a mechanism transmitting electric current between stationary and moving devices. It is widely used for electric power supply system and other applications. Its sliding contacts are requested for higher reliability and longer life. In this study, a sliding system of Au plated slip-ring and AgPd used in chip mounters is used to investigate a degradation process of the sliding system. Consequently, the life time in terms of contact resistance is different in each sample, but the degradation process is similar in all samples.
