Elimination of String Obstacles and Image Restoration

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a technique for extracting and eliminating obstacles in a still image. We assume that the obstacles are elongate and the difference of brightness with neighborhood region is large, and extract the obstacles by voting in brightness. The extracted region is removed and interpolated with neighborhood pixels brightness. Experimental results show the validity of proposed technique by applying to real image.
