Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a development of man machine interface by speech dialogue for home automation systems. The system should be able to accommodate with the large variability of input sentences. The system should also consider the context and situation when the sentence was input. We have already shown that understanding of users' inputs can be achieved by mapping semantic representation of the inputs onto context and situation. Based on this idea, a design principle is presented to realize a dialogue interface system which enables natural speech communication, i.e. multiple sentence exchanges and acceptance of large variety of input sentences. |
