Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes an algorithm to extract triplets of attribute-value relations (Object, Attribute, Value) from text for the purpose of building a knowledge base for question answering. In our approach, the system first extracts triplets using abstracted surface language patterns, and then use a statistical model to filter out implausible ones. Our experiment showed that the method performed well in both recall and precision.
