A Hybrid Real-Coded Genetic Algorithm with Local Search and Its Applications

Abstract(in English) To improve the performance of search by a hybrid real-coded genetic algorithm with local search, we propose to use BLX-α crossover which contains mutation operator instead of the simple crossover. We carry out simulation experiments on iris classification to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method with diversity of individuals. We generate classification models with better performance, and compare the performance of the resulting classification models based on the Spearman's rank correlation coefficient between their classification rates for training data and test data.
