Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, an algorithm for blind source separation, which generates source orientation histograms from a joint distribution of observed mixtures and creates a separation matrix from the estimated source orientations, is proposed. By using a band-pass filter bank and making orientation histograms for each filter output, it is shown that the algorithm can separate mixtures of sub- and super-gaussian signals. By temporally shifting one of the observed signals and making orientation histograms for each temporal shift, propagation delays can be estimated. A series of experiments shows that the algorithm can separate mixtures with propagation delays successfully.
