Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Pattern formation in a neural field model is theoretically analyzed. We show the conditions for existence and stability of local excitation solutions with arbitrary stationary input conditions to develop a graphic analysis method. The method is useful for finding all the local excitation solutions and their stability. By applying the method to a input condition where two input stimuli are applied, we show the existence of bistable pattern dynamics.
