| 抄録(和) | 手話翻訳システムにおいて, 手話文からの適切な手話単語セグメンテーションは認識精度を上げる.身振りによるコミュニケーションの運動計測結果から, 運動の滑らかさの指標に基づく手話単語セグメンテーション手法が提案されている.本研究では, ヒトは身振りを認識する際に主に手先を注視している事から, 運動の滑らかさの指標として手先の位置変化とひねりを反映した前腕躍度を定義し, これを用いた手話単語抽出法を提案する.更に単語辞書データを用いて, 各単語辞書データとの距離が最小となるように前腕躍度のピーク点を含む抽出領域を決定し, その時の距離が最も小さい単語を訳語候補とする手話単語認識手法を提案する.その結果, 身振り認識過程を考慮したヒト腕運動の滑らかさに基づく手話単語認識システムの有効性が示唆された. |
| 抄録(英) | In sign language-Japanese translation system, appropriate segmentation of a sentence improves precision of recognition. From an analysis of arm movements by gesture, a segmentation method based on the smoothness of the movement has been proposed. In this study, considering that the human focuses on the hand rather than the arm posture when he perceives a gesture, we define the forearm jerk that reflects a forearm's positional change and twist as an index of the smoothness of the movement, and propose an segmentation method of sign word based on this index. Considering that the human seems to segment a sentence to recognize words easily, word domains were decided to minimize the distance from the dictionary data, and a word of the smallest distance was selected as a candidate of translation term. Thsese results suggest the effectiveness of the sign language word recognition system based on the smoothness of the human arm movements. |
