| 抄録(和) | テキストや遺伝子発現データの解析において、高次元指向性データを取り扱う重要性が増してきている。本研究では, 単位超球面上で定義される混合von Mises-Fisher分布のパラメータを変分ベイズ法を用いて推定するアルゴリズムを導出した。得られたパラメータのテスト分布を用いて予測分布を計算し, 最尤推定法により得られた予測分布との比較を行うことで、本アルゴリズムの有効性を調べた.また, 通常の計算機に含まれる組込み関数では計算の困難な, 第1種変形Bessel関数の対数計算を近似する手法を紹介する. |
| 抄録(英) | To deal with high dimensional directional data is getting important in various applications like analyses of text and gene expression data. In this report, we propose variational Bayes (VB) algorithm for mixture of von Mises-Fisher distributions, which is a probability density function defined on a unit hypersphere. We compare the predictive distribution obtainded by the VB algorithm with that by the maximum likelihood estimation, in order to check the effectiveness of this algorithm. Besides, we introduce an approximation method of the logarithm of the first kind modified Bessel function. |
